Our Founders and Team Members
Hunter D. Brownlie, President
As a co-founder and President of Eco Power Hedge, Hunter Brownlie has a background in both finance and renewable energy. Mr. Brownlie began his career at an international money market firm on Wall Street where he traded medium term interest rate swaps. His interest in sustainable values led him into ownership of a socially responsible investment business. As a Registered Principal, he also has facilitated private placement equity deals with developing renewable energy firms.
Mr. Brownlie is a member of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association and serves on the board of directors at both the Southeast Land Trust and the Piscataqua Region of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Mr. Brownlie is available for speaking engagements and consultations on hedging with renewables.
Brett Bogart, Buyer's Agent Representative

Roy Morrison, Energy Analyst
Roy Morrison is an energy consultant, a published author, and co-founder of Eco Power Hedge. Mr. Morrison has more than 25 years experience in energy work which includes performing energy audits and technical assistance for clients such as Phillips Exeter Academy, the Harvard Club of New York, Garage Mgmt Corp. and the City of Portsmouth, NH. He was the author of the first law in the nation for municipal aggregation for retail electric competition. He founded the NH Consumers Utility Cooperative which was the first seller of competitive electricity in NH. He is also a Josiah Bartlett Foundation award winner for his work on municipal aggregation for electric competition. Mr. Morrison brings expert analysis to each feasibility study to determine the best hedge agreement details for every Eco Power Hedge client.
Pentti Aalto, Energy Analyst
A co-founder of Eco Power Hedge, Pentti Aalto is an Energy Analyst with over 35 years experience in energy consulting and policy work as an independent consultant and owner of PJA Energy Systems Design. Mr. Aalto's career includes work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Energy Office, as a staff engineer for the Governor's Commission on Cogeneration and at the Center for Energy Policy in Boston. His technical experience includes working on District Heating Systems, Biomass Energy, Cogeneration Systems and more. His policy work has included studies on retail competition in the electric industry and energy conservation studies for schools, hospitals and manufacturers. His expertise and knowledge enable him to provide the highest quality data and analysis to each Eco Power Hedge client.
Kirsten Brownlie, Marketing and Communications Director
Ms. Brownlie is focused on all marketing and communications activities for Eco Power Hedge. Utilizing her past experiences in the graphics industry, high tech and socially responsible investing, she brings her writing, branding and broad marketing skills. Ms. Brownlie always seeks to incorporate an eco-friendly approach and is committed to the sustainable mission of Eco Power Hedge.
